Now In Servitude: The Boss

Location: Bournton

Features in: KNOCK KNOCK ; HARBOUR HOUSE ; THE BOSS

Coldford Correctional stands high on the hills of Bournton. It was given the nickname because of the way it looms over the town. It was a Chamberlain castle at one point in history. The Chamberlain family are what put the King in Kingsfate. Slaine castle in Bourton was the stronghold of Francesca Chamberlain who had a reputation for torture, greed and bouts of madness. These terrible deeds are said to have become ingrained in the very walls of the prison.

There are many creatures skulking around this prison castle

The Boss has played home to some of Coldford City’s most dangerous criminals. Most notably, two of the Penn triplets of the PENN AUCTION HOUSE have found home there. In order to keep such depraved individuals the guards of the boss have a no nonsense policy. If you act up within those walls you will be taken out. It doesn’t matter who you were on the outside. The Boss doesn’t care when you are Her slave.

It’s not uncommon for those who enter those iron clutches to be kept there for the rest of their lives. A years sentence for assault can suddenly become a life forfeit. Such is the way of Coldford’s correctional system.

Life inside is not easy. It’s not meant to be. It is a prison after all. When you are given that custodial sentence you give up your humanity, your past and your dignity. You are now in servitude to The Boss.

We haven’t seen the last of those who will pass through those gates so if you are bold enough to head so far north you will see the latest slaves being brought forth to be chewed up.

Hotly contested, the death penalty is alive in well in Coldford. As such The Boss plays home to the electric chair known as Buzzkill. When you are dealing with such a hotbed of crime as is present in the Shady City those switches need to be flipped, often.

The cold corridors of The Boss hold constant reminders.

The Booze Riots

The MACK AND SONS Distillery has been a feature of the town of BELLFIELD for generations. Owned now by the Mack family, the Macks have earned the respect of the community through time. They are highly regarded. Roguish, like most of the townspeople but filled to the brim with community spirit.

Brendan Mack head of the Mack clan.

During the Great Wars of last century the distillery gates had been closed, protecting the town, providing the rations. At the time it was the Colbine Gasworks that had the area, for which Sean Mack worked. As the city pulled itself together again the Office of LAWMAKERS called a ban on all alcohol products in Greater COLDFORD. The already desperate city saw cause to be outraged and riots sparked from City Main to the farthest reaches of Bellfield. The people wanted their booze. After the Great Wars people wanted to numb their memories and prepare to rebuild. The Law Makers would not be pushed. The flow of alcohol was causing violence, domestic and city wide. The riots were testament to that. They needed what was left of the work force fresh and able bodied. The health care couldn’t afford to keep drunkards.

The Mack Distillery, located on Love Street in Bellfield.

In a shed within Cobine, Sean Mack began to brew his own booze. His speciality was a whiskey recipe that was passed to him by his grandfather. When Cobine himself discovered what the non conformist was up to he was delighted. Soon, Sean was providing booze for the entire city, causing him to have to bring in his sons – Darragh and Callum – In to help. And so this formed the original Mack and Sons. The distillery grew around Cobine and is now a huge feature of Love Street in Bellfield.

Time will Tell: City Face

Location: City Main

Features in: KNOCK KNOCK ; PURPLE RIBBON ; THE BOSS ; ERROR 65

The seat of power. The highest office in the land. The place where all decisions are final.

They call it the Hot Seat. The Mayor’s office in Coldford is not those who can’t take burn. City Face derives its name from the huge clock that sets the time for City Main and beyond to Greater Coldford.

73417714_2439297039622051_1745664963260710912_n
City Main has it’s distinctive sky line in large part due to Fullerton Construction. As viewed from the northern town of Bourtnon.

From the time of the first mayor of the Shady City it has been both an inspiring and terrifying building. It was built by the Fullerton family and funded on Owen coin and given the Penn stamp of approval, a long time before the Coldford we know. The first mayor, Jock Wilson, took his place with pride. Public addresses were held on the lawns out front and the new mayor was to make his first official address to the people.

The mayor had their attention. the A scream broke through the crowd’s tension. As Mayor Wilson began his address, his voice raised above the gathered crowds it spelled a new future for Coldford.

A spark of gunfire brought the mayor’s voice to a halt.

The lawns had only just been completed when they received their first blood stain. This set precedent for how messy the politics of the Shady City would get.

A uniquely constructed building. The large time piece almost acts as a doomsday clock. The face of the entire city is one of time ticking by. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Everyone look up at the giant clock.

Enjoy this? Time is ticking by for the residents of Harbour House. A unique rehab facility with standards, laws and regulations all of its own.

Starkland Park is the home of the COLDFORD ATHLETIC football team. Unlike its City Main neighbour CITY STADIUM, Starkland Park was developed from humble beginnings. They call the Shanties area a poverty trap because poor education and social deprivation make it difficult for those born in the area to better themselves. A beautifully constructed stadium that grew to rival the richest teams in the league, Starkland stands as a reminder that anything is possible.

Big House On Campus: Kappa So Chapter House

Location: FILTON UNIVERSITY

Features in: KNOCK KNOCK ; HARBOUR HOUSE ; PURPLE RIBBON

If you go down to the campus today you’re sure of a big surprise. If you go down to the campus today you won’t believe your eyes. The house you see draped in the black and orange colours of KAPPA SO leaks so many rumours and we can confirm most of them are true. Under the leadership now of BERNARD ‘BUDDY’ OWEN the fraternity was originally founded by the pioneering Owen’s of old. They are a brotherhood of elite young men with too much money, power and too little responsibility.

Located a short distance from the main Filton Campus and the house of the Kappa Si sorority the brothers have easy access to the loose women looking for cocaine, so much so the coke whores are quite a feature in the Chapter House.

The Chapter House is home to ridiculous antics (Croco missile?). Sex, scandal and high society are what the Chapter House have become known for.

The Chapter House also holds an item of great financial and sentimental importance, the telescope commissioned by the original Owen founder for the purposes of his legendary expedition. Brothers from all over the world pay homage to it when they visit Coldford. Entrusted with this precious, two centuries old, family heirloom Buddy and his bros know the Hell there would be to pay should anything happen to it.

img_1775

So be warned. Unless you are looking to pledge and you have absolutely no moral compass it is best to just stay away from that big house on campus because when you are on the inside you will be swept up in so much madness you will forget what is right and what is wrong.
