In the Shady City it takes a brave cop to walk the streets. Shady City’s finest are as touch as the streets they protect. There are many confessions made within the walls of Coldford Police Department (CPD).

Such confessions include the kidnapping of a young girl named Marjorie (MAESTRO) or the murder of half the Filton University anatomy class (CONFESSIONS).

The brave men and women of CPD are always torn between what’s right and what needs to be done. Things can get sticky as the lines of morality are blurred.

When a reporter comes to them with one of the most incredible story they have ever heard it seems like it’s time to take the streets on force. The city is descending into chaos and it needs all the brave wearers of blue it can find. If those in uniform are willing to bend rules a little to get the job done, all the better.

Finest Cut: Harvesters

If the finest meat and dairy in the Shady City is what you are after then look no further than the Harvester logo. Family run for generations the Harvester Farm has blossomed into a large franchise thanks to Dr G Winslow. Dr Winslow is a highly respected member of Coldford society and thanks to his efforts you can enjoy a harvester burger at one of many convenient locations around the city.

But as grand as they have become the family feel is still at the heart of the Harvester brand and none feel more like family than the dutiful farm hands, led by Glenn.

502: Slaughter Time

But with all things in the Shady City the Harvesters have their part to play in brewing tensions. Growing such a brand requires money and someone has to pick up the bill somewhere. The Harvesters are branching out to new pursuits.

There will always be a true Harvester at the Harvester Farm and since the old Harvester is Ill that duty falls to his only daughter Julia. Julia finds herself under the gaze of a struggling artist. She can inspire him to greatness and in him she can find the opportunity her family legacy needs to break free from the tyranny that holds them.

Far north where the city scape starts to change to farm lands you will find a set of allotments. Number 605B doesn’t belong to a gardener though. This allotment house sets itself aside from the others because often, loud music can be heard blaring from it as a tortured mind tries to drown out their demons. You will find clay faces watching you from the windows – those that aren’t blacked out of course. Some have figurines hanging in them.

The land around the allotment house is dead and barren.

Allotment house 605B belongs to the artist, David Finn. He uses it as a workshop. It was once the birthing suite for some of the city’s most sought after paintings and sculptures. Now it only offers useless attempts at recapturing the glory days. Most of the recent pieces will end smashed in frustration or burned.

No new life has come from that allotment house recently. Only abortion after abortion as the frustrated artist falls further into despair.

It’s a simple wooden structure, quite unimpressive to an untrained eye but inside will once again be a hub of creativity. Breath taking pieces of art came from behind those doors before. Now it is a drug addict’s den.

The little allotment house hasn’t done with it’s story just yet though. When an innocent seeming farm girl knocks on the door it will change everything.

Enjoy this? Artist, David Finn, is spiralling. He has lost his inspiration. When he meets a sweet seeming farm girl his world is turned upside down. At least he now has some new inspiration of this art.

Knock Before Entering: The Knock Knock Club

In the poorest area of the Shady City, known as the SHANTIES, lies a club called the Knock, Knock Club. You will find it if you care to venture down Clifton Alley and are keen enough to knock on it’s door.

There you will find a charming manager, DENNIS, to meet you. Entertainment is provided by some of the best talent the city has to offer, the KNOCK KNOCK girls are there to make you feel welcome and if you care to become a member the club will always have your back. You may even get an audience with the BOSS LADY herself.

Boss Lady, Tabitha, has a treat in store for reporter, Sam.

Since it’s opening by an old show girl known as The BARONESS and her partner AGNES, It has had its fair share of challenges. It has been a hiding place for criminals, raided by the COLDFORD CITY POLICE department and been burnt down in an attack that killed many of the dancer girls, staff and patrons. Despite this it has always managed to claw its way back up to continue as a feature in the south of the city. There is a war brewing and the HEADLINERS who own the club are leading the charge.

Sam and his wife, Theresa enjoy the entertainment Knock Knock has to offer.

Supplied by the MACK AND SONS distillery and invested into by the AUCTION HOUSE the club always has someone to call on when mischief is required.

It is a cabaret club by all measures but behind its closed doors there is something else going on. Enter journalist, SAM CRUSOW, to expose it for what it really is.

The Law Makers are a wealthy, powerful sect located in the Court House in the North. If they get themselves involved the outcome certainly doesn’t look promising.

All rise and quiet in the court room. Judge Doyle will hold session and you best plead guilty if you hope of any chance of leniency.

Mack and Sons: What’s your poison?

Proud producers of quality whiskey for more than five generations. MACK AND SONS DISTILLERY is a vivid part of the landscape of Shady City.

Initially from the outlying western town of BELLFIELD the distillery was first set up in the deprived Shanties area of the Shady City. Mack and Sons were offered a generous buy over bid from the wealthy Beckingridge Financial Firm.

With a stern note from head, Brendan Mack, they refused.

“Mack and Sons is for everybody. We supply those who work hard and get their hands dirty. Those rich wankers think they can have it all,” he said.

The distillery now lies in the hands of second born son, PATRICK with support from his brothers – Aidan and Kieran. Mack and Sons protect their brand fiercely. The working class ethic still lies at the heart of what they do.

They are the main supplier to the KNOCK KNOCK CLUB so a bottle is always to be found, even as the city struggles. The recognisable shape of the twisted bottle can be spotted on most of the bars.

The Shady City has been torn in two. One group stands to protect those who would otherwise be trodden over and flattened by the rich elite.

The back alley club known as the KNOCK KNOCK is home to THE HEADLINERS. She doesn’t seem like much but like most things in the city there is more to her than meets the eye.

Don’t be fooled though. As noble as their beginnings were THE HEADLINERS are willing to fight blood for blood. In the Shady City that is the only way to wage war after all.
