It’s the part of the Shady City where the law is upheld. In a city torn apart by corruption and a greed for power a need for order is more important than ever. It takes a very special kind of PERSON to hold the seat of judgement because you will be up against murderers, thieves, kidnappers and let’s face it some of the most ruthless villains ever to ply their trade.
The Court Houses are feared in the SHADY CITY. With a lot of evil doings allowed to slide, especially when you have the privilege of a powerful family name (OWEN perhaps?), it takes some extreme crimes to have the High Court involved and when the JUDGE DOYLE’s Bailiffs come hunting you you can rest assured JUSTICE will be served.
Working closely with COLDFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT it seems an uphill struggle to rid the city of wrong doers, especially when most times its hard to tell who the real evil is. But rest assured, those who don’t obey the JUDGE’s laws will have their day in court.

From the tip of the Shanties to the top of the north COLDFORD DAILY has the news.
The largest newspaper in the area they have been first to inform the people of some of the most significant events the Shady City has ever seen such as the kidnapping of Billionaire Ernest BECKINGRIDGE’s son, George. They also were first in line to report on CONFESSIONS killer Tracey Campbell after she murdered half of her anatomy class. If it happens within the Coldford City district you will read it first at Coldford Daily.
Boasting some of the best journalists such as SAM CRUSOW (winner of the prestigious PENN prize for literature) and MADELINE LOWER who despite facing discrimination in the Daily offices because of gender has proven time and time again her worth as an investigative journalist.
Owned by the OWEN family it can be said that although they are first to bring news to the people they are also in control of what the people are allowed to hear. This is perfect when you want to hide skeletons back in the closet and the Owens have many of those.
The mayor is missing and Sam is covering the story. Volume 1 is free to read on Vivika Widow Online or download for Kindle by clickingHERE.
In the Shady City it takes a brave cop to walk the streets. Shady City’s finest are as touch as the streets they protect. There are many confessions made within the walls of Coldford Police Department (CPD).
Such confessions include the kidnapping of a young girl named Marjorie (MAESTRO) or the murder of half the Filton University anatomy class (CONFESSIONS).
The brave men and women of CPD are always torn between what’s right and what needs to be done. Things can get sticky as the lines of morality are blurred.
When a reporter comes to them with one of the most incredible story they have ever heard it seems like it’s time to take the streets on force. The city is descending into chaos and it needs all the brave wearers of blue it can find. If those in uniform are willing to bend rules a little to get the job done, all the better.
They call her The Baroness and her activist spirit is legendary. To some she is the lovable KNOCK KNOCK show girl. To the LAWMAKERS she is the next target and rehab will not excuse her.
Coming May 02: Welcome Tawny McInney to Harbour House.
Complete season 1 of the Knock Knock graphic novel series is free to read HERE.
As we anticipate the release of MUSE our stop on the Shady City tour this week takes us far north where the city scape starts to change to farm lands. There you will find a set of allotments. Number 605B doesn’t belong to a gardener though. This allotment house sets itself aside from the others because often, loud music can be heard blaring from it as a tortured mind tries to drown out their demons. You will find clay faces watching you from the windows – those that aren’t blacked out of course. Some have figurines hanging in them.
The land around the allotment house is dead and barren.
Allotment house 605B belongs to the artist, David Finn. He uses it as a workshop. It was once the birthing suite for some of the city’s most sought after paintings and sculptures. Now it only offers useless attempts at recapturing the glory days. Most of the recent pieces will end smashed in frustration or burned.
No new life has come from that allotment house recently. Only abortion after abortion as the frustrated artist falls further and further into despair.
It’s a simple wooden structure, quite unimpressive to an untrained eye but inside will once again be a hub of creativity. Breath taking pieces of art came from behind those doors before. Now it is a drug addict’s den.
The little allotment house hasn’t done with it’s story just yet though. When an innocent seeming farm girl knocks on the door it will change everything.
